Play's the Thing

It's great to have friends to play with. And play we did this weekend! It started with out-of-state guests arriving Thursday night for a weekend sleepover, continued with an evening birthday party, headed into a Saturday afternoon CAL game (and yes, we stomped UCLA), carried into another evening of delightful dining, followed by a Sunday morning breakfast, and ended with my husband and I playing in the dirt after our guests departed.

Oh yes, we got good and dirty as we planted a few offerings for the front yard. Not much since it will be a complete re-do in the spring, but just enough to brighten things up.

But I digress. It really is lovely to have dear friends to play with. And yes, it's Biblical. I know you've come to expect that.

A friend loves at all times (Proverbs 17:17) A cheerful heart is good medicine (Prov 17:22) Pleasant words are like honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones (Prov 16:24)
