I read an article (stop rolling your eyes ~ I LIKE to read and share, like in kindergarten.) Anyway, I read this article that claims that women rule the roost and that's okay with men. Does my husband know about this?
Of the 1,260 individuals surveyed (that's enough for an extrapolation, right?), women made more decisions in the areas of planning weekend activities, household finances, major home purchases and TV watching. Of couples, 43% let the woman take the lead, 26% the men and 31% share equally. The article goes on to say, We'd all like to believe we're moving toward gender equality - not just in the workplace but in the home.
Let's get real here. Do men really believe in equality of the remote control ~ or have they simply retreated to their caves and watched what they darn well pleased on their own HD TV?
Who is the rooster in the hen house anyway? Ours is a fairly equal partnership but dang, I would hate to think I have castrated my man because the remote is no longer his domain. Oh, that's right, we don't watch much TV so it doesn't make much difference in our household.
