thankful thinking day 5
Today I am doubly thankful.
#1. The campaign rhetoric, the personal barbs and insults, the candidates' promises and lies are over for another four years.
Thank You, Lord, for the end to another presidential campaign. Thank You Lord for the privilege of living in a country that values the independent voice through the democratic process. Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness for it is really You who is in control.
"Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save.
When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing... Blessed is he whose help...(and) whose hope is in the Lord God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them...The Lord reigns forever." (Psalm 147)
#2. Today is another celebration ~ a celebration of birth. Today is my husband's birthday. I am thankful for his 65 years. I am thankful that he is a godly man. I am thankful for his love and presence in my life.
Lord, thank You for this wonderful man. Thank You for your celestial matchmaking that brought us together.
"For You created my inmost being;Yyou knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." (Psalm 139)
