thankful thinking day 7
I am thankful for big silver birds that whisk me to and from my desired destinations. Airport security might be a nightmare, seating accommodations uncomfortable, and the price no longer a bargain, but the speed with which I can travel is a pure delight ~ and I delight in it often.
This week my husband and I are joining my side of the family for our early Thanksgiving celebration. It's low key. We all show up. Spend 48 to 72 hours lovingly harassing each other and having a great time. And oh, we do get around to doing a big dinner but it's whatever we decide to do at the time. All fun, no pressure.
Lord, thank You for the invention of the airplane, particularly the jet engine.
"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles..." (Isaiah 40:31)
