G-Strings Revisited

thankful thinking day 2

You may remember my 7/22/08 post on the G-string controversy in Norway. To quickly recap, the Norwegians were asked whether it was appropriate for an 8 year old to wear a G-string.

Well, I'm going one better. Is it appropriate for a dog to wear a G-string? And inquiring minds further want to know if it's appropriate for the dog's owners to put their G-string wearing dog to work during these tough economic times?

Okay, catch your breath. I know that this is an ethical, intellectual and socially acceptable stretch, but there really is a perfectly good reason why a dog would be wearing a G-string. You see, one of our Groovy Tuesdays has a beloved but confused pet that has been, well, peeing in the house. Not often, mind you, but certainly enough to cause a stink (play on words, sorry).

So while on vacation in a desert town, the owners discovered a solution for their housebound dog. It seems that dogs don't like to pee on themselves. So, wearing a G-string will discourage them from peeing in inappropriate places. Yep, nothing irritates a dog more than a wet G-string.

Okay, so how the lovely citizens of this desert outpost came to this conclusion ~ well, I don't want to even venture a guess. Maybe the excessive heat and sunshine fried their brain cells and their short-circuited wires had to find new thought patterns. Because believe me, this is truly thinking outside the box!!!

As for putting this G-string wearing dog to work ~ that might take a little more explaining to the PETA people. It seems that this dog reminded someone of a recent trip to Las Vegas because when the dog trotted by, it was suddenly sporting a dollar bill under the string. Guys being guys, a couple more dollars sprouted and this dog was off and running to a new career.

Thank You, Lord, for the gift of laughter at everyday things and for someone's nutty ability to think outside the box.

"There is a time for everything ... time to weep and a time to laugh." (Ecc 3:1,4)

There is a time for everything...a time to be wet and a time to be dry...

The real question is did the Groovy find a wild animal print thong...

Poor humiliated little dog-man...I think he needs a modest oxford cloth boxer, or at least some Spider Man UnderRoos...
