Gratitude for a New Attitude

thankful thinking day 30

When I started this month of thankful thinking, I thought it would be a struggle to come up with something new every day, but the longer I became engaged in the habit of thankful thinking the more I realized just how much I have to be thankful for. The key was looking at the small things ~ a stop-and-smell-the-roses mentality.

Simple thanks for simple pleasures. Gratitude for a new attitude.

Thank You, Lord God, for my new habit of thankful thinking. I know I will need to lean on You to keep my attitude of gratitude flourishing in my heart, not to get lost again in the discontentment that hangs around my back door.

(Blogmeister's note: A month of thankful thinking was inspired by the Thanksgiving celebration. It seems fitting that a month of thankfulness should be followed by a month of giving. Thanks---giving! In December I'm determined to focus on the pleasure of giving instead of the"me"-ness of getting.)
