I can tell it's summer. It's 9:00 and still light out. I'm not wearing socks. We are eating most of our meals on the patio. Swimming in an outdoor pool. Finding fresh fruits and veggies in abundance at the Farmer's Market. Sleeping with our windows wide open. Eating soft serve ice cream in orange/vanilla swirl. Attending concerts in the park every Friday night with friends, food and some nice wine. Driving with the sunroof open and wearing a hat to keep from getting burned. Taking day trips to the beach. Enjoying fresh lemonade and refreshing ice tea.
Our front yard stands empty, calling us to finish the job, but right now, we're kicking back and enjoying the sweetness of summer. It's not just for kids, you know.
