How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I drove up to a stop light yesterday next to a car with a male driver and a large dog. The dog was sitting in the passenger seat and the man was lavishing all kinds of attention on her (or him) ~ petting and talking ~ and ignoring the light that had turned green.
Are we so disconnected as humans that we have misplaced our affections and connections on our pets? It strikes me as highly ironic that human friends get a Tweet/text/email but our animal friends get physical touch and regular contact.
Think about it.
