My James Joyce Impression

I tried Vietnamese Pho soup last night. Not my thing. Looked terrific. Smelled good. Tasted like something was missing, a certain spice perhaps. I like trying new things. It's interesting, stimulating and adventuresome. I like adventure. There is so much out there in this big world of ours and most of us get exposed to so little of it. Sure, the internet and mass media help shrink our borders, but there really is nothing like experiencing something first hand ~ unless it's an extremely well-written book or article. Ah, the satisfaction of reading, of using my imagination, of thinking, of stretching the borders of my mind. Of all the books ever written or yet to be written, I think that the Bible tops them all. It has God, intrigue, love, war, betrayal, reconciliation, family, kingdoms, birth, death, angels, demons; it's the greatest story ever told ~ and it's not done. The printing press was such an incredible invention because it put books directly into the hands of common man. Technology will take over paper bound books one day, but it will still be about words and ideas. It blows me away how under used our brains are, yet look what we've come up with so far. It's an amazing organ, the brain. Blood and tissue, electrical energy, molecular interactions, biology, chemistry and physics working together to produce thought ~ thought that gets manifested in the physical world. An idea for a new thing can become a reality outside of the inventor's mind. And the thought that's brewing in my mind right now is that your reality of reading this rambling blog is coming close to hitting a wall. Hence, I exit stage left.
