It has been raining for several days but yesterday it absolutely poured rain nonstop from early morning to mid-day. I mean, it just poured! The sky was dark and the wind howled. So when I looked outside my front window around noon I was completely shocked and taken aback by sunshine so bright that my eyes squinted and blinked. My brain couldn't quite wrap around what it was seeing. I was equally attracted and taken aback.
It's like that when I'm mired in something. I get so used to the dark howling places that I don't even realize that there's something much better if I just look up. The stark difference between where I am and where I could be is always unsettling. The question is ~ what do I do with that revelation?
