We have shrunk Jesus to a size where He can save our souls but now don't believe He can change the world. (1)
The gospel means much more than the personal salvation of individuals. It means a social revolution. (2)
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (3)
Our Christian habit is to bewail the world's deteriorating standards with an air of rather self-righteous dismay. We criticize its violence, dishonesty, immorality, disregard for human life, and materialistic greed...Who is to blame?...The question to ask is "Where is the Church? Why are the salt and light of Jesus Christ not permeating and changing our society?" (4)
He who says he abides in (Christ) ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (5)
