Eternal Relationship

He has risen!

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it...The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. - Matthew 28:1-6

He has risen! This event is not magician's slight of hand or trick of the eye. From a cold and lifeless cadaver to a living, breathing man ~ three days after his death and burial ~ an act of love, of compassion, of mercy, of grace.

He has risen! Three words that cement Christ's earthbound mission. He has risen and paid our debt. He has risen so that we may have eternal life with the Father through our belief in the Son. He has risen through the most unconditional display of love and obedience by and to the very God of creation, who chose us to be His beloved children.

Lord, You are the living God who loves us so much that You put a plan in place that ensured our eternal relationship. I celebrate Your Resurrection today. I celebrate Your love. I celebrate You.
