Meet Coco Channel.


Kelly brought this tiny bundle of joy to our Groovy Tuesday gathering last night ~ a three-week old feral kitten. Do I need to tell you how a room of mothers reacted? Yes, lots of "ooohs" and "ahhhs" and "let me hold her." Kelly took this sweet life into her home and watching her bottle feed Coco these words came to mind...

And Adam called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. (Genesis 3:20)

It's the mothering instinct. Not every woman has it, nor to the same degree, but there is something about new life that is undeniably compelling. The mystery of creation, the uniqueness of a life, the unfolding of a journey. Each birth is both a new beginning for one and the continuation of a species.


So hello Miss Coco Channel, welcome to the world. Yours will be a good life. You have been created by the Father and will be cared for with love.
