Today is just as good a day as any to rant about paper ~ the kind of paper that has things printed on it like bank statements and other financial stuff. Wait, maybe my rant is about financial matters not paper. Paper is just an innocent by-stander. It's the stuff that get printed on paper that bugs me. Wait, it's not the printed numbers that are the problem, it's the reason that numbers get printed that bugs me. It's because then I have to track it in a systematic fashion that is understood by someone other than me.
Can you tell that financial matters, accounting and all that number stuff are not my cup of tea? I understand it. I know it's important. But us creative types just get all fidgety when asked to do mundane stuff like balance our checkbooks or enter credit card charges into our accounting software program or ....You get my drift. And the most painful of all is tax time when my financial tracking has to make sense to my husband so he can do his patriotic duty by April 15th.
Thank goodness I married a man who likes numbers, accounting, computers, etc. The problem is he wants me to like it, too. Thank goodness I married a patient man because it's going to be a long time coming.
Now, on the other hand, if you ask me what I am doing with my money, I'm quick to answer. It's just the backroom trail of paper that drives me crazy.
