Beauty, Age and Wisdom

Today is a birthday celebration. I am sure that there are thousands if not millions of people worldwide celebrating a birthday today, but this one is special ~ it's my mother's.

94 years. At this phase of her life, each birthday is extremely precious. We are so grateful that God has gifted her with longevity. Her father lived to 92 and her sister 95. Since Mom says she wants to dance at my son's wedding and he's not even engaged, we figure she will live to be 100. Only God knows the number of her days.

In celebration of her years of life, gaining wisdom that comes only from living, I am passing along a few gems of advice that she shared with Groovy Ted during a lunchtime conversation. I hope you are blessed.
  1. If your husband is balding and you get into a fight, don't ever mention it ~ he will never forgive you.
  2. When you are in a conversation with someone, never roll your eyes no matter how brilliant you are ~ it's not becoming.
  3. Romance your husband, spend time with him, let him know you love him ~ but not in public ~ PUKE!
Happy Birthday, Mom!
