Seen or Unseen
Are you inside looking out? Are you peering from one garden into another? Are you locked out or locked in? Is the proverbial grass greener on the other side of the gate?
We fix our eyes on what we see but don't often know what we are seeing, whether we are seeing clearly or through our own filtered glasses, if we can believe what we see, or if it is real regardless of what our hearts or minds are telling us.
I'll tell you the vision I can count on. I can count on the truth that the corporeal is temporary and the world is not always what it seems. I can count on the truth that I am to fix my eyes and place my hope in things I cannot see.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Cr 4:18)
