Fragile But Functional

Cute shoes are everywhere.  Some are lethal to walk in but they sure are cute.  I've never been able to wear cute shoes.  My feet are too narrow for the average shoe, which means manufacturers don't make cute styles for my foot.  And now I can't walk in heels higher than about an inch thanks to a previously broken ball of one foot.  So when I saw this photo of the Groovies in their cute shoes at the wedding, I was bummed.  Bet you can guess which foot is mine.

 My doctor says I have "fragile" feet.  What he means by that is they are bony without much soft (fat) cushioning.   That may be true but these feet have been mighty loyal ~ taking me on wonderful adventures and outdoor treks.  They may not be cute and they may be fragile, but the sure are functional.
