I read it in the newspaper ~
~ global weather goes to extremes,
~ WikiLeaks will continue to release information on Afghan conflict even if lives are endangered,
~ human activity blamed for smoldering Russian fires,
~ Oracle taking Google to court,
~ blast rocks Columbian capital,
~ BP will pay $50m for Texas refinery violations.
And the beat goes on, and on, and on, and on....which is why I don't read the newspaper or watch televised news much anymore. Accuse me of being ill-informed. Guilty as charged ~ or I wish. It somehow filters through anyway.
I would much rather choose more pleasing things to fill my mind ~
~ the sliver of a bright moon outside my window,
~ birds quenching their their from my front yard water feature,
~ surprising good friends with a party in their honor,
~ breathing in the scent of an old-fashioned rose,
~ a late evening dinner with just my husband on our patio.
All blessings and so many more.
Finally, (sisters), whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable ~ if anything is excellent or praiseworthy ~ think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)
