My eyes, my heart and my soul are struck with the wonderous beauty of the day, as trees sing out in glorious color against the backdrop of a magnificent blue sky. It feels like autumn came late but powerfully this year. The reds seem more intense, the yellows more brilliant, the oranges more fluorescent. Yet this is the time of year when our houses are usually decked out in red, green and white for the Christmas celebration.
I've always felt the last four months of the year rushing at me with unstoppable speed. Just as I am finally letting go of summer and embracing a season of harvest and thanksgiving, I'm decorating for Christ's birthday and facing a new year. I would like to slow things down and savor each in its own time, but the calendar does not cooperate. I have no control over marching time but I do have control over how I choose to participate in its endless dance.

Love that the Christmas decor is coming along. The meaning of the season is awe inspiring and humbling to say the very least. I really want to get a simple nativity scene, it's been on my wish list for a while now. I am on pins and needles about the kitchen. It's all I can do to not just drive over, LOL ;)
Hold on! It will be done sooner than you think.
