And The Meaning Is ...

There is More to This Christmas Story...

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses ...Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you...so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. (Luke 1:1-4)

It's easy to believe in a secular Christmas. It's easy to believe that it's about me, about gifts, about decorations, about parties and cards. But it becomes a hollow belief based on a shallow vision of the reason for the season.

I love the way Luke starts his telling of the Christmas story ~ so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. I know for sure that secular Christmas is not the certainty of Christ. And I know for sure that the birth of a babe is not the full story of Christmas.
