Birds Flying High
My love affair, admiration and fascination with birds continues. This time I am blown away by how high birds can fly. The highest record flight is a griffon that reportedly crashed into an airplane at 38,000 feet. It's not atypical for swans and geese to cruise at 29,000 feet. And tiny but tenacious hummingbirds have been spotted at 500 feet during their 2,000 mile migration between Canada and the Panamas. I find inspiration in these feathered flyers.
