Our Day at the Beach 4

road trip continued ~ Goat Rock Beach

Least you think my  husband and I are fuddy duddies, we took the plunge.  No, not into the cold gray waters but into having fun.  As we jumped and goofed around, the waves snuck up and lapped at our feet.  Now we knew how easily those kids (see yesterday's post) got seduced into abandoning dry ground and danced, instead, with the waves.

This last photo reminds me of my relationship with God.  Sometimes I hide so God won't find me and I can, well, do what I want, pouty girl that I am.  Other times I hide because I want to know if He's looking for me.  Silly me.  Either way, He always knows where I am. Always chooses to be where I am.   Always wants us to be mutually found.

I've been reading a book for work about play by a famous psychologist Dr. Stuart Brown. Your pics remind me of part of his book. He proposes that "couples who play together, stay together. Play refreshes and fuels long-term adult relationships and that in a healthy relationship it is like oxygen, pervasive and mostly unnoticed but essential to intimacy." My point is, it's fun to see a great couple making it a point to take time out of the business of life to horse around together...it's a great testament to why you guys are such a perfect match :)
