Life is a process: a complex, ever-continuing, ever-changing set of problems. The choice is not if you'll accept problems, but how. ~ Tim Hansel
When I first read that quote, I thought it was a downer to think of life as a series of problems to be addressed or ignored. It's true that one can't go through life fully devoid of problems ~ unless one doesn't get out of bed (but then that presents its own sets of challenges).
I prefer to re-frame problems as possibilities. It really is a matter of how one approaches life that makes the difference in whether we view situations as problems or possibilities. Problem sounds daunting; possibility sounds hopeful. I'm not being a pollyanna. It's the glass-half-full or glass-half-empty mindset, and it's more empowering for me to take mine half full.
