Lessons from the Kitchen
I'm kinda speechless today. That doesn't happen very often. We have a small setback in our kitchen project. It's manageable but it's a little demoralizing. We. Just. Want. To. Be. Done.
One of the Groovies is writing a book about the in the meantime. You know ~ I am going to entertain people in my new kitchen, but in the meantime I'm still cooking on the barbecue grill and eating off paper plates. While everyone has their own perspective about their own in the meantime, I guess when I compare my waiting with someone who, oh let's say is in the meantime of dealing with cancer before she can enjoy her grandkids, my meantime doesn't seem so daunting or unmanageable. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. Time for me to look up instead of at myself.
I feel better already. I have lots to do and be grateful for in my meantime.
Thank You, Lord, for a heavenly perspective. Thank You for Your loving finger gently tilting my chin up to what matters.
