Who Said I Was the Boss of Things? Not Me!

Lessons from the Kitchen

Ha, ha.  Joke's on me.  Another bit of evidence that I am not in control of much of anything other than my attitude.

Remember yesterday's progress report?  You know, the one where the tile was scheduled to arrive and my husband would be starting our new floor?  Well, it arrived, all right.  Yep it arrived in pieces.  Not all of the tiles were broken but at least 25% were.  But I guess it could have been worse.  Someone could have died.

The man driving the delivery truck had a close encounter of the wrong lane kind on a two-lane highway as he was driving into town.  It seems that a much larger truck wandered out of its lane and the only thing our delivery guy could do was take a cross country detour to avoid a potential head-on collision.  And that's where a bunch of our tile boxes took flight resulting in, you guessed it, broken tiles.

Sigh.  Now we have to wait until the new ones are made and delivered.  The original order took a week.  My husband thinks he can get started on the project anyway.  He says he will do it in two stages  At least no one died.

No, all that died was any last thought I had that I was in control of much of anything.  But then God has been trying to tell me that for some time now.  I guess I'm a slow learner.
