Lessons from the Kitchen
I'm happy to report that we are making good progress. Ceiling lights are installed, cabinet handles are almost all on and today I ordered the back splash. Yep, I finally pulled the trigger and can now breathe. It's a good thing.
So we enter the week before Thanksgiving knowing the kitchen will not be done in time for the turkey feast but that's okay because Mom has a fully equipped kitchen that she doesn't use. Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration. She makes toast, boils tea water and microwaves leftovers from the dining hall. It's good to be queen. She has done her share of cooking and now is enjoying the perks of senior living. Gosh, if I stop to think about it, she has cooked literally thousands of meals for others in her lifetime. It's good to finally be the queen.

One question...
When does Queendom begin?
I'm 65 and it hasn't started for me yet...
