same cycle
yet a different story
as the leaves of summer
turn gold and red,
released from their perch
falling
twirling
gravity tugging
toward unfamiliar ground ;
life relinquishes its hold,
back to earth
to be reabsorbed and repeat
the same cycle
yet a different story.
