It took a long time for me to look at the painful parts of my personal past and accept that they are integral pieces of my puzzle. I wanted to forget or pretend they were from another life, another time, but really they make up the continuum of who I am. My life didn't roll out the way I expected it would, but then whose really does? Even when we are plugged into our Maker, we have to let go of the expectation that we are in complete control our our destiny.
