Road Trip ~ Atlanta continued
The reason I went to Atlanta in the first place was a woman's writing/speaking conference. I'm not the real deal, I just dabble in the stuff, but I was the guest of Groovy Muffy who is an accomplished speaker and author. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated by all the accomplished speakers and authors in the room, let alone the scriptwriters and movie producers. These people make money at their craft and their message goes out to a multitude of people. I write a simple blog with a small following and speak/teach a little. Needless to say, it was both exciting and a bit daunting.
It was a weekend of learning and applauding each others accomplishments, but it wasn't a game of one-up-man-ship at this gathering. Oh no, they were all very clear on who was the head of this ship. While each attendee had a different field of expertise and interest, the driving force behind all of their work is a love for God and a passion for Jesus. They have felt His direct presence in their lives in different ways, some under more difficult circumstances and more intensely than others. But each gave Him the glory for their individual gifts, talents and successes because in the end, it's all His and for Him.
