One Thousand Gifts

Wow, it has been so long since I last posted.  Yes, I took a long vacation from my writing.  I needed time to regroup, restore, rethink and refresh.  Three things prompted me to pick up the pen again, so to speak.

1) I never finished the saga of our back yard remodel.  This journey, which began last October, was woefully ignored over the winter months, but things are happening again and I'm excited to catch you up on the changes.

2) I'm getting ready to take another road trip.  You know how I love to post and pontificate on these adventures so I'm warming up the fingers for both photos and words to share with you.

3) My Groovy girlfriends are reading a book entitled, One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp.  We decided to be thankful for our every day gifts and to share our gratitude with each other.  It's a smell-the-roses kind of thing that takes our focus off the big ups and downs, and places it squarely on the everyday beauty of our lives.

And so, dear readers, I am thankful for your asking where have I been.  I am thankful that I am back.

Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.  ~ Sarah Ban Breathnach
