I have driven the road to and from the mountains countless times. This time, however, I was unprepared for the four-footed creatures that I saw on this trip. While cattle, in and of themselves, are not an unusual sight, I was caught off guard by the beautiful, creamy white cattle I saw grazing on the lush, green fields. Add a vibrant blue sky and cumulus clouds, and the scene was positively dreamlike.

Dare I say those cattle looked angelic? Hang with me here. I know this metaphor is a bit of a stretch but seriously, I caught a glimpse of how different we must look to God when we believe in Him. No, not like white, four-footed creatures but visually marked, just like these cattle are. No longer plain brown and generic, we have been washed clean and made anew.
( I hope not a single reader is reading a racial undertone to this commentary. It has nothing to do with human racial stereotyping and it pains me to even have to clarify my metaphor. It's a dirt brown versus clean white thing.)
...let us go right into the presence of God, with true hearts fully trusting Him. For our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.... All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I(Jesus) will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are Mine. ~ Hebrews 10:22, Rev 3:5

As I looked closer at these cattle, I noticed that they had been branded with a metal tag in their ears. The Bible says we are branded by God as His when we believe.
And I heard how many were marked with the seal of God. ~ Rev 7:4
In my belief, I am seen differently by God. I know I have been cleansed ~ daily ~ and I know that I am marked as His. I know that I am beautiful to Him.

I liked this post so much. I especially liked the mohawk the cow on the left was sporting and the perm the one on the right was flaunting. I love seeing God in creation too, it's hard not to once He's opened our eyes to His mysteries :)
Ha, ha, Nicku! Great observation on the cow "do's".
