There are no guarantees in life except that things change; of that I can count on. Not all change is bad, but all change requires some sort of adjustment, be it ever so minor. I like to think that I'm resilient and even welcome change, but sometimes it comes so far from left field that the ripples are small but felt never-the-less.
Reminder to me: my word this year is joy. Regardless, or inspite of, change that may occur; that may or may not be anticipated; that may or may not be welcomed ~ joy in all my circumstances; of that I can count on, but only if I choose to choose joy.
Lord, I choose to choose joy in all circumstances. You know my well isn't deep enough to draw joy out of the reservoir when it isn't there, so empower me with Your Holy Spirit on this joy thing. I'm counting on you. Amen.
