Lessons from the Garden ~ Back Yard Rebuild
I knew it. I knew the "simple" wall repair would lead to other things. Bigger things. Expensive things. We're now onto a much bigger space than the back yard ~ we're reaching for the sky. Yep, a new roof. I just about choked on those words as I typed.
The wall repair necessitated the complete removal of our handcrafted waterfall with pond. As I plaintively contemplated its replacement and finally got around to embracing the design challenge, the roof reared its patchworked head and demanded to be noticed. This means more things coming down like our overhead trellises and a rose bush that had finally made it to the top of the house. It means down comes our back porch awning and lights and even our wind chimes. It means more chaos.
